about the table

The Table restaurant uses the bold strokes of form, pattern and color, complemented by pendant skirt lights, gleaming black Victorian Bombay arches and French doors, to create a global ambiance which complements it's global cuisine.

The Table's menu changes daily, depending on the availability of the best produce. It has influences of the San Francisco-style of cooking where each dish has a distinct flavor and texture. Here, vegetarian cooking is transformed into a culinary work of art. You can choose from small and large plates, and dishes like roasted red beets, goat cheese, orange, mint and pine nuts salad, zucchini spaghetti or pumpkin ravioli with sage-brown butter and toasted hazelnut.

Non-vegetarians will relish the San Francisco-style Cioppino, New Orleans style lobster and shrimp cake with Creole remoulade or boneless chicken wings with chilli garlic sauce. The Sunday Brunch includes homemade granola, blueberry pancakes and lobster cake benedict. What I loved most was that I could order half a glass of wine, allowing me to sample a variety.

The dessert menu was a whirlwind of flavours — the chocolate tart with house-made vanilla bean ice cream and morello cherry sauce was a delight. However, do not leave without trying the seasonal berries ‘n’ cream with toasted pound cake. The restaurant also offers a three-tiered tray (served at hitea) with mini sandwiches and pastries, warm scones, fine teas and Moet & Chandon Brut Imperial champagne.
