SUNDAY CARVERY.

by SophieYoung on 15 Nov 2015 (Couple Traveller)

Me and my partner decided to try somewhere different for Sunday dinner and on our way to Notts decided to call in here. It was busy but they could fit us in, really good value at a tenner for two courses. I'm a veggie and they had two good options for me, plus I could then help myself to veggies from the carvery AND they made me my own veggie gravy. I'm always really appreciative when places will go the extra mile to make sure I'm not left out and it was absolutely no trouble for the young lad m...

What a dump

by ADP G on 14 Oct 2015 (Business Traveller)

I can not believe there are places like this still trading. We were unfortunate enough to book this hotel for 3 nights last week, the food was inedible, the room filthy, and thesmanager unhelpful. We complained but were told it was that or nothing, as it was late we were forced to stay. The following week when we tried to get a receipt for our stay we were told it was not possible, but to add to that we were told we had booked another 10 days and would be charged on our credit card for that als...

strange place

by Sheila P on 12 Sep 2015 (Friends Traveller)

booked in for one night for a nearby sky diving event..on arrival the place was in darkness, at reception there was a note addressed to me with a key and room number. The room was okay, a few dog hairs on the sheets but otherwise clean. After a long journey we thought we could have a meal at the restaurant but it was closed (8pm) There was no-one to speak to so we headed off to find somewhere to eat and found an Indian restaurant which served lovely food and returned to the hotel which was stil...

Change of name doesn't improve this dump

by Keith H on 11 May 2015 (Family Traveller)

Booked for one night May 9th 2015. The payment must be made in advance - I booked online and paid at that time. Reception desk not staffed, so went through to bar to say we'd arrived - lady came and got our room key, but could only just about remember where our room was. Room was quite chilly, the Freeview TV had such poor reception it wasn't worth turning on. Shower controls were "tricky" to get right temperature / flow. Sunday morning breakfast was 7.30am to 9.00am, and admittedly we were fair...
