If you haven't made plans for Father’s Day in advance, here is a list of things to do with your dad on Father’s Day this year. No matter where you live in India, you’ll surely be able to find a few of these activities nearby. So what are you waiting for? Start planning!

Play some new-age Games

Thought your dad was too old for fun and games? Think again. Plan a day of fun with your dad as you indulge in activities such as paintball, live escape games, ice skating, go-karting, bowling and much more. You’ll be surprised at how good he is at all these activities!

You could play some live escape games at Ctrl.Shift.Esc in Hauz Khas Village, Delhi or take a drive down to Pattipulam Village for a round of Paintball if you are somewhere close to Chennai.

Indulge in Wine Tasting

Your dad surely has some impeccable taste, so why not take his tastebuds on a trip to flavour heaven by organizing a round of wine tasting for him. Learn the art of wine tasting from him as he soaks in the fragrance of various wines and sips on each one of them enchantedly.

If you happen to be around the city of Nashik or Channapatna located about 60 km from Bangalore you are in for an absolute treat, with lush green vineyards in these locations.

Go Bird Watching

Want to feel closer to nature? What better way to celebrate Father’s Day than by spending your day birdwatching with your dad. Lay your eyes on rare species of birds and be left spellbound by the beautiful sights of nature around you.

The Bharatpur Bird Sanctuary is of course the best place to enjoy this activity if you could drive down there, or you could also do the same at the Sultanpur Bird Sanctuary located in Gurgaon.

You will find golf courses in various cities across India. From hill stations such as Ooty and Kodaikanal to the famous Royal Calcutta Golf Club in the city of Kolkata, you have myriad options depending on where you are staying.

Visit a Museum

You may not be the biggest fan of museum hopping, but it may be something that interests your dad. So simply pick a museum of his choice and embark on a journey through history or science. The sparkle in his eye will surely make the trip worth it.

Museums such as the Salar Jung Museum, Hyderabad or the Princes of Wales Museum, Mumbai are a few favourites among the older generation along with the National Rail Museum in Delhi.

Visit an NGO

You and your father have done a lot for each other over the years, take out time on this Father’s day to do something for others along with your dad. Visit an orphanage, old age home or even a hospital where you can spend some time with people, spread some love and distribute basic supplies that would help them in their daily lives.

There are NGOs in all cities of India, so pick the cause of your choice and simply plan your day.

Grab a Bite

You probably go out for family lunches and dinners all the time, but how about enjoying a hearty meal with just your dad over a few drinks and endless conversation. Get to know him a little better, you have no idea how much a little quality time can impact someone!

If you’re in Bangalore take your dad for a wonderful dinner to Rim Naam at the Oberoi or if he’s in the mood for something a little different then try Cafe Lota in New Delhi.
