about lenyadri caves

Lenyadri Caves is a beautiful and splendid concoction of some 30 caves built by the Buddhists in ancient times. Out of the 30 caves, 26 are numbered and these caves face to the south direction. Some of the caves are the chapels while others are simply where the monks used to live like their dwellings. Out of all these caves, cave 7 is the famous Lord Ganesha Temple that enshrines one of the 8 shrines of Lord Ganesha which is collectively known as Ashtavinayaka.
