The whole idea of travelling gets even more exciting when it's clubbed with doing it on a budget, right?

Here are some tips to help you save money when you travel:

1. Hotel Loyalty Programmes

Identify a hospitality brand that has hotels in all the places you want to visit, and sign up for their loyalty programme. With every night you stay at these places, you add points to your tally, which later means free nights!

2. Or, say yes to Hostels

If you think staying at a hotel takes too much out of your budget, think of staying at BnBs and hostels!

3. Airfare Sales

It's known that Tuesdays, around 3 PM, 6 weeks before your travel dates is generally the cheapest time to book your ticket. What you can also do is follow budget airlines on Social Media, and subscribe to their newsletters to get alerted about sales.

4. Aye, street food

Take one more step into knowing the culture of the place you're travelling to by eating out at street food joints or food trucks when travelling. It's usually yum, wholesome and cheap!

5. Get the right ATM and Credit card

Currency exchange often comes with a hefty fee. It's cheaper (not free) to get an international banking card and draw cash from ATMs. Also, most banks have credit card offerings for frequent travellers with which you can earn flying miles per transaction.

6. Local Passes and Sightseeing

Most cities have traveller privileges where you can get travelling passes and sightseeing passes for lesser. When you chart your itinerary, identify these and make the most of them.

7. Craft a Holiday Budget

Designate amounts you want to spend on a daily bases, and carry a little over but try to stick to your budgets. Currency conversions might make us look like we have the upper hand, but they also lead to splurging!

We hope this helps in saving for every trip you take! If you have a hack to save on your travel trends, do share it with us!

The problem sometimes with the hostels are: sometimes there are bed bugs, dirty and they didn't change the bed sheets. Anyway, that's the life of Mosafer people right? Opsss.. Mosafer Means traveller in Arabic. ^_^

Another thing never put your travel suitcase and bags on the floor of the hotel or hostel if you do not want to carry back home the hotel bugs. Always remember some hotels are not cleaning if you are in a budget hotel.
