Passed its best

by ireland_timothy on 04 Jan 2017 (Couple Traveller)

The location is good and the staff friendly but the hotel is definitely passed its best. The rooms are fairly small and a lot of the bathroom fittings at the end of their life. I have never seen such a small flat screen television in a hotel room. The wifi is also very unstable. The sheets are all a bit small for the bed and the towels have seen a better day. The restaurant for breakfast is quite adequate with large comfortable rather old fashioned furniture.

Nice hotel, convenient & safe location, fair price

by patriciacz2001 on 25 Jun 2016 (Friends Traveller)

The hotel room was clean and comfortable. The location was convenient, specially if you are using the bus or metro system. It was in a safe area. One night, 3 of us ladies walked to a convenience store nearby, to get bottle water. Complementary breakfast buffet had a good variety. The front desk staff could be friendlier and internet service could be better, but overall this hotel was a good deal for us (group of 4 ladies with a car rental)

Agree with the other reviews - its day has passed

In all the hotel is ok. The pool is nothing more than a meter deep hole in the roof, no chairs or furniture at all. The breakfast buffet is good. The A/C is nothing more than a whaft of cool air, but the room is clean. The bathrooms need a refurb as the bathtub fixture are all falling apart and corroding.

Excelent Location and Service.

Credit card was not required to make a reservation (that's a plus!). We were promptly welcomed by smiling ladies who quickly arranged for our luggage to be transferred to our room. The service was so fast that I didn't have a chance to tip the guy! Breakfast was great! Parking Service was very convenient and reasonably priced. The lobby is very nicely decorated and the rooms are large and clean. The location was very good, midway between Sé Cathedral and Paulista Avenue. In summary, a great choi...

Dissatisfaction by a thousand cuts

by Alex C on 20 Feb 2015 (Solo Traveller)

It's a classical old 18-floor building right in the heart of Sao Paulo at the bottom of Augusta, right next to the police station, opposite a beautifully romantic row of expensive restaurants, and within walking distance of the very modern shopping mall (Frei Caneca). As location goes, it's first-rate, other than a hefty taxi fare from the bus station or airport. And the immediate impression is slightly grandiose, if dated: think where your grandfather booked in on business trips to Brazil 30 ye...
