The bed was squeaky, the lady asking us for our room number when waiting for breakfast seemed like 'she wasn't there'. Other than that everyone else was polite, interested in what we had to say. I noted to a staff member that my hair dyes pillows red when I wash it as I have dyed hair, she said not a problem and provided an extra towel.

Incompetence of receptionist

by chikwongw2017 on 28 Jan 2017 (Family Traveller)

Bad experience of mishandling by the receptionist due to her incompetence for the extension of staying one more night. I was told the receptionist, no comfortable room could be offered by the hotel so I decided to change another hotel although we already had booked an extension of one more night via Internet. Room design not good.

by dido151 on 28 Jan 2017 (Family Traveller)

Staff very helpful and friendly and welcoming. However room design not good. Towel rail too near toilet, No bath mat. No door hook to hang anything in bathroom. Sink quite far away from mirror. Couldn't get close enough to mirror for contact lense wearers or make-up.Bedside light switches located in strange position, behind pillows. Bedside table too small for 2 people sharing, but chair too bulky. Need 1 slim chair in bedroom and 1 chair or stool in bathroom.

Perfect location

by Julie M on 26 Jan 2017 (Solo Traveller)

Great hotel as very central, and literally 2 mins walk from Brighton international Centre which is why I stayed there. Comfy bed and nice room. Shower is a bit dated with small shower curtain, but served its purpose.

Overnight stay

by Darlene D on 26 Jan 2017 (Friends Traveller)

Location for the Brighton Centre was excellent. Glad I was only staying the one night. Carpets in public areas were stained. All areas felt cold as if there was no heating. Curtains in room were stained looked like blood spots. Walls had marks on my them. Generally the whole hotel looked as if it needed renovation. If all Travellodges are like this I won't be back.
