about trinesvaraswamy temple

Trinesvaraswamy Temple in Mysore is dedicated to Lord Shiva. It is believed to be the oldest temple, built more than 450 years ago in Dravidian style. Originally the temple was located outside the Mysore Fort on the banks of Devaraya Sagar. It was later in 1600's when the palace was enlarged ], the temple came to the premises of the palace.  Apart from Lord Shiva, the temple has minor shrines dedicated to Ganapathi, Virabhadra and Dakshinamurthy. The most popular celebration of the temple is  Shivaratri, when most of the devotees gather to offer their prayers.
