It's a brown, beige and black (but cheap!) catastophe

by norhh on 15 Oct 2015 (Friends Traveller)

Admittedly, our stay was cheap. However based on the photos, portraying a picturesque building in front of a charming pond - it did in no way live up to our expectations. The staff was friendly and very helpful - and a few spoke English fairly well. It is just such a shame that the hotel itself was a disappointment. There were tiny insects all over our sink, the elevator didn't work, the furnishing of the room was horrid and the place clearly needs a refurbishment.

Needs remodeling

by CLBlum on 02 Dec 2014 (Business Traveller)

The hotel needs some repair and remodeling to keep up to date. At the rooms the tvs are the old big one, the floor are ripping by the wall and at the queen bed they covered it with sheets supposed for a single bed. The wifi speed is reasonable. The lunch buffet was good but for the hotel level it needs some improvement. The restaurant staff were friendly and helpful.

Great value, friendly staff!

The hotel is clean, comfortable and has friendly staff. Having traveled to a few cities in Brazil, it was nice to have front desk staff that are fluent in Spanish and English. They were very accommodating and friendly. The rooms were clean and not over the top but had all the comforts and necessities needed. Beds were comfy and there wasn't too much street noise. The included breakfast had a variety of choices and the buffet dinner was just as good. Close to the bus station and about a 20-30 ...

Never again

A very bad experience, in this hotel only one of the staff can speak English, I had to use Google translator for me to order "water“ by the way it's called “ague“... I couldn't ask if the food they were serving contains pork coz no one understand what I was asking, I tried to exchange 100 $ and the didn't do it they asked me to wait for a day...over all if you're visiting Salvador try another hotel.

This is a bad hotel period !! And when you figure in the price ......

by William N on 18 Jun 2014 (Couple Traveller)

This is a run down hotel, which looks abandoned by their owners. They will be happy to take you money though. Rooms are outdated. Bathrooms in poor condition. Internet doesn't work and when you complain to the manager. she looks at you like: what do you expect? Do not book this hotel however inexpensive (which it isn't )looks to you. O the bright side. personnel although frequently incompetent and uneducated are nice and polite. Too bad they believe that "I'm sorry" solves the customer's problem...
