Cosy Hotel Which was Value for Money

by Carole B on 26 Jan 2017 (Couple Traveller)

We stayed at this hotel five days ago for one night in a superior double. On arrival our room was not quite ready so we were shown into the bar area and offered a cup of coffee. Fifteen minutes later we were shown to room No. 10 on the second floor. Our immediate feeling was that the room was quite small, as was the bed. However on returning to the room later that evening we found the room very cosy and comfortable, as was the bed; which had crisp white bedding. The only downside was that it...

Worst stay in my five years of business travel.

by businesstraveller130 on 25 Jan 2017 (Business Traveller)

Hotel was booked and paid for by my company for business purposes. Upon arrival to the hotel, I was told I could not check in without the same card that paid for the room, but as this was done via my organisation – I did not have that card on my person. The booking was in my name however and I offered my passport, driving licence, and alternative credit cards – all of which were refused as an alternative. I also had a printed document with authorisation from my company for the card use, yet the ...

A good place to stay

by Doloflux on 17 Jan 2017 (Couple Traveller)

As a base for a stay in London this was great. We had a basement room, which was on the small side but clean, tidy and with a good size bathroom. No problem with noise. Breakfast is pretty good, staff are really pleasant. And there are useful little extras like being able to leave your bags after checking out. There are no kettles in the bedrooms but free tea coffee and hot chocolate if you phone reception The location is ideal - by the hotel is very quiet, but plenty going on within a 2 minut...

Excellent location for underground and buses. Very friendly and helpful staff.

by Howard P on 08 Jan 2017 (Couple Traveller)

I chose this hotel because of its proximity to the museums in Kensington and the Underground and bus routes into the West End. At this time of year (January), they reduce their prices because it is a quiet time of year, so I paid £130 a night for the two nights we stayed in the Ottoman Suite. The room itself was warm and quiet, facing onto Nevern Square, which is a Conservation Area. A large flat screen TV, DAB radio and DVD player are all provided. However, the room is in the building next door...

Nice enough - but not if you want a twin room!

by 761samb2015 on 03 Jan 2017 (Friends Traveller)

My friend and I stayed in December to attend a nearby event. We were allocated a very (and I mean very) small twin room in the basement over looking a small courtyard. It was clean but decorated in a very 80's fashion! The bathroom was equally small - barely enough room to turn around in - but the shower was effective. It was absolutely fine for one night, but the real downside was the noise in the morning as the kitchen is off of the corridor and the banging and crashing that started very v...
