Friendly, helpful staff but not worth four stars

by daftdairyman on 08 Nov 2016 (Couple Traveller)

The hotel claims four stars but in the end is only worth three stars. Rooms are small, there is lot of noise from the street and the furniture is kind of aged. Staff is friendly though the hotel does not offer all services that one would expect (e.g. they were not able to help us out with a tooth brush etc. while our luggage was stuck at an intermediary airport). Breakfast is OK - standard Argentinean with toast (no rolls) and lots of sweet stuff.

Good Price/Quality relationship - Excellent location

by CarlosFB1972 on 18 Oct 2016 (Family Traveller)

The customer service is acceptable and the location is quite sage. Just around the corner police station number 22, on top of several police car surveying the zone. No so far away from main restaurants in Puerto Madero, and quite near from main shop streets and shopping center. The only complain is the elevator quality is very poor. In high people fluency, it could last several minutes to go out/in. They need a maintenance as they are not working properly.

A bit outdated

Stay for one night en route to Montevideo. Wanting to stay close to Puerto Madero but not wanting to pay that area prices, I settle for this hotel. It's about 4-5 blocks from the main Puerto Madero's entertaining area and very close to San Telmo. The immediate area around the hotel is unappealing, but I didn't feel unsafe. I agree with the reviewers opinion that this is a 2 to 3 star hotel. Lacking a restaurant and other facilities it shouldn't claim to be a 4 stars hotel. Room decor and furnitu...

Great location but not too good of a hotel.

by 569vik on 13 Sep 2016 (Family Traveller)

The hotel was in a very convenient location but the hotel was not too good. There were a lot of different receptionists who personally knew us and helped us throughout our stay from restaurant and trip recommendations to reservations ( even though there was one issue with one trip) and currency exchange. We were able to pay in either Argentinian pesos, euros or dollars. The main issue was cleanliness, where the towels were stained and with holes and there was one day that they did not clean the ...

Great Location good staff BUT

by NaringCaddie on 12 Sep 2016 (Couple Traveller)

Australians standard this is not a 4 star hotel. Staff gave us a smooth check in. I was so dissatisfied with the quality of the bed linen and towels. Stains all over them. Red Pillowcases not changed. 2 beside table lamps provide mood lighting but beware, the walls are thin. Elevators are slow. Quicker to take the stairs. Lower levels are noisy especially level one you can here the check in staff and watch the police come out of the station. We booked another night as we had a late flight. Clean...
