Well located for QE hospital and university

by Rebecca L on 09 Jan 2017 (Business Traveller)

I received a warm and friendly welcome when I arrived at Lucas House. My room on the 2nd floor next to the stairwell was quiet and adequately equipped. The decor and fittings were dated but the shower was hot and the bed was comfy. The towels was thick and fluffy and the bedding was soft. Good value accommodation

Clean, well equipped rooms, well priced and convenient for the University. If you want to eat in the restaurant in the evening make sure you book as there can be limited tables for walk in customers..

Does s. Hat I S says on the tin!

Room was fine, reasonably spacious, bed a standard double and a bit too firm on the sides but ok, shower room again adequate. Tea and coffee making facilities supplied, tv in room, free wifi. All in all decent, not luxurious but that was not what we were looking for. Quiet, temperature good and reception fine.

Bit out on a limb

Stayed here to see nephew at uni, not close to amenities so better with a car, though bus to central Birmingham does stop outside. Breakfast good, rooms adequate. Bar rarely open the weekend I was there.

0K for one night

by HOP_8 on 04 Dec 2016 (Business Traveller)

this is ok for a one night stay. It is a 60sl70s building and the internal decor shows. Breakfast was average fare. The bedroom was dated. The most convenient thing is that it is in walking distance of the university. Also very quiet despite being off a main road.
