about viceregal lodge

Viceregal Lodge was once the residence of Lord Dufferin, the British Viceroy to India. Also known as the Rashtrapati Niwas, the place houses several antiques, photographs, articles, papers and documents which show the rise and the subsequent advent of the British empire in India. Built according to the Scottish-Baronial style of architecture, the place is a six storey building which was constructed in the 18th century - 1888 to be precise.
