Mussoorie is a walker's paradise. The best way to explore your surroundings here is by your own feet. Are your knees already hurting on reading this? Do not worry as once you reach the place the fresh and pollution free air will induce new levels of energy which will make all the pains disappear.

For places that are a little far away you can take a rickshaw but do not forget to bargain the prices as they have this sharp nose to smell that you are a tourist and raise the prices. The charges are generally INR 20 per person but can vary in peak season.

If you are travelling with kids you could always rent a pram popularly called bachcha gaadi, for their comfort and also your own ease. There are several boys standing to offer a pram ride for your children charging INR 50 per hour. There is always scope for haggling. A horse ride from Camels Back Road to Kulri Bazaar is worth an experience so do include it in your to-do list, also it will save you some walking.

Do not miss a ride in the Cable Car which is a special mode of transportation only for Gun Hill charging INR 75 for a round trip.

Happy Exploring!
