Wondering how to reach the ‘Cultural Capital of Karnataka’? Well, don’t worry, as this city is well connected by most of the means to all the major domestic cities. Just take a look at the available options.

  • By Air

Mysore had a functional domestic airport, but don’t worry, as the nearest functional airport is Bangalore which is just 139 kilometres away from the city and is an international airport (Bangalore airport). All the domestic airlines and many international ones operate their flights to Bangalore from all the major cities in the country and abroad. You can take a taxi from Bangalore airport to Mysore which will cost around INR 3000.

  • By Rail

Mysore has its own rail head, and is well connected to major cities of South India like Bangalore and Madras, by a number of trains. If your are coming from north India, it is better to book your tickets to Bangalore as it is well connected to all the major cities in India. From Bangalore you can take a taxi to the city which will cost around INR 3000.

  • By Bus

The well maintained state transport corporation connects Mysore with Bangalore, with every half an hour, there is a non-stop bus to Mysore from Bangalore Bus Station. The Karnataka Road Transport Corporation has excellent bus service to Mysore. Different types are available to Mysore including ordinary buses, semi-luxury buses and luxury buses, which are operated by the Government of Karnataka. The journey is a pleasant one taking about 3 hours to reach Mysore from Bangalore and will cost you between INR 70 to INR 120. You can also board buses from other major cities like Pune, Hyderabad and also Chennai.

So, what are you waiting for? Come to this beautiful city providing convenient and comfortable ways to reach.
