What are the different ways to reach Pushkar?

0 people found this answer useful Useful ?Yes

Although you might have prepared an itinerary for your stay in Pushkar, you might have ignored your travelling options. Well, here we list for you what all is available on that front.

  • By Air

If time is in your mind, then a plane will get you there the fastest. However, Pushkar has no airport of its own. Sanganer Airport in Jaipur city is the closest air-link to Pushkar, connecting many metro cities like Bangalore, Delhi and Mumbai, and is about 130 km away. You can board a cab from there which will charge you around INR 2500.
    Other nearby airport is
Jodhpur Airport which is 170 km away from the heart of Pushkar city.

  • By Train

Ajmer Railway Station, which happens to be around 11 km away, is the nearest railway station to Pushkar. The railway station is connected by rail routes to almost all the cities in India. For example, from Delhi plies the Shatabdi Express.
A taxi from the station will charge you approximately INR 200 to take you to Pushkar. You can try haggling a bit for the fares.

  • By Bus

Again, it is in Ajmer that you can find a full-fledged Bus Stand. From here are accessible the inter-city bus services which ply every 20 minutes. They will cost between INR 35 to INR 40, depending on the the type of bus you are taking (Deluxe, Super-Deluxe, Volvo).

Make your pick depending on your convenience and time constraints, get ready to marvel at the sights that will greet you in the way.
