If you're packing your bags for the hills station in the month of May or December, you're in for a real treat. Loud drum beats, colourful kites, traditional music and vivacious dancers – it's the time of festivals in Mount Abu. Join in the celebration and double the fun of your holidays.


  • Winter Festival

In case your travel plans for Mount Abu fall between 29-31 December, add some fun and comfortable clothing to your bag. It's party time in Mount Abu and you don't want to miss the fun! The Rajasthan Tourism Development Corporation and the Municipal Board put up an entertaining array of celebrations called the Winter Festival. What starts with a procession to Nakki Lake picks momentum in the enthralling rhythms of traditional songs and dances from across states. Colourful fairs adorn the hills with Sufi Kathak performances, folk dances and poetry recital take centre stage. You could also try a hand at galli cricket or flaunt your kite flying skills. Whoever said winter was dull hasn't been to Mount Abu in December!


  • Summer Festival

    Here's a festival especially for the travellers! Like most hill stations, Mount Abu too has a Summer Festival of its own and it is is dedicated to the travellers in town. Celebrated in May on Budh Poornima, it's a three day fiesta that starts with a grand procession, allowing quick glances into its rich culture with its vibrant folk dances, followed by marvellousfireworks. The festive spirit reaches its peak level on the second and third day with heart racing boat races, horse races,skating competitions, CRPF band show and so much more just to make sure that you have the time of your life.

Go on a shopping spree at a local fair, learn a few folk song lyrics or shake a leg to traditional beats for a change. Match your travel dates with the festive season for a fun filled holiday.
