One of the finest hill stations in the country, Kodaikanal becomes the princess of your heart with all the activities that it has to offer to its visitors.

  • You can cycle around the lake: Explore the valleys on a cycle brushing your way through the white clouds. Cycles are easily available for hire at the Kodai lake for a couple of hours. Also, it is possible to cycle to other places although cycling on the hilly terrain would be difficult. You should always check the condition of the cycles before heading out.
Cycles are generally available at around INR 20 to INR 50 for four hours.

  • You should try boating at the Kodai lake: Paddle your way around the Kodai Lake and explore nature at its best. Take entry via the Kodaikanal Boat Club and enjoy the pristine lush green hills surrounding the lake in the center of the city. An activity generally done with two members in one go, boating is an experience in itself.

  • Try Trekking: The various trekking routes will keep the trekker busy with their sheer number of choices. The trek to the Dolphin Nose and the 3-4 trek of 40 Miles Rounded from Berijam Lake to the Kerala border Vandaraw via ‘Poondi’, Kavunji, and Kukkal is a treat for their breathtaking views of the hills, plains and cascading waterfalls and zigzagging streams.

  • Horse Riding: You can rent a horse along with the trainer to take you around the lake. This can be done near the front of the entrance to the boat club. Generally, the owner accompanies you with the horse for obvious reasons but you can also take the horse on your own by giving in some security money and an identity card of yours.

  • Kodaikanal Yoga Center: Garnish the rejuvenating experience with the spiritual practice of Yoga in the middle of an ecological farm. They organise regular weekly Yoga and Meditation workshops which are complemented by lectures and courses on the subject along with healing arts and ecological lifestyle.

Excited enough? So is Kodaikanal for you. Go explore!!
