Get ready to be bowled over by the scenic beauty and spectacular views of Palampur. Here are a few must do things in one of the most popular hill station, famous for its untouched natural beauty that offer great adventure experience.

  • Trekking

    Palampur offers memorable trekking experience which makes for one of the popular tourist activities in the town. The trek routes include Palampur to Holi over the Shingar pass, Palampur to Dharamsala via Indrahar Pass, Baijnath to Manali over the Thamsar pass and trek routes leading out of the town over the Dhauladhar Mountains towards Chamba. The best time to trek is between the months of May to October.

  • Paragliding

    Imagine being 3500 feet above the ground, tied to a paraglider with the help of strings of bungee cords and taking a jump, doesn't that excite you? Well, if you have courage in your heart and money in your pocket then paragliding is for you. Bir and Billing are the Paragliding Heavens of India and easily approachable from Palampur. The town of Bir is around 28 kilometres from Palampur while the town of Billing (14 kilometres from Bir) is at a distance of 42 kilometres from the town.

  • Angling

    Love fish and fishing? If yes, then you will have ample opportunities to fish while in Palampur between 1st March to 1st June and 1st September to the end of October. Mahasheer is one of the famous fishing spot in and around the town, others include Dehra Gopipur, Nadaun and Pong Dam. You can catch Carps here which commonly known as Mahseer and can be up to nine foot long.
