If you love shopping for local items and artifacts then you'll find enough places in Pushkar to indulge and splurge. From local markets to fair, from showrooms to emporiums, this place has everything to suit every taste and pocket. The main shopping places in Pushkar are Sarafa Bazar, Baza Bazar, Sadar Bazar and Kedalganj bazaar from where you can purchases textiles, clothes with elaborate embroidery, ethnic jewellery which is specialty of Rajasthan, beads, brass utensil, lovely colourful bangles, leather goods, unique embroidery clothes camel cover and much more. A few famous places to shop are:

  • Pushkar Fair

    What better place to shop from in Pushkar than the famous Pushkar Fair, don't you think? The fair is an ideal venue to shop for a bewildering variety of Souvenirs, curios and trinkets such as embroidered clothes, beads , bangles, embroidered shoes, clothes, shiny glass, brass utensils, belts, bangles, leather goods, beads, camel cover etc. Silver ornaments are one of the main attraction in the fair along with other handicraft items. The hub of the shops at the annual Pushkar fair looks likes mini market of Rajasthan which makes shopping in Pushkar an interesting activity and is a depiction of traditional culture of the state. Do remember to bargain for a great deal.

  • Sadar Bazar

    The main market is just a kilometre long and is lined with tiny shops selling reasonably cheap clothing, jewelry, leather sandals, excellent music (anything from Hindu temple to Hindi pop to global trance) and the best selection of books in Rajasthan. The market runs along the northern side of the lake and is definitely the place to come with empty bags. Even though it's a narrow street and is packed with little shops and stalls but is truly well worth a stroll around. It offers a wide range of products including Rajasthani costumes, jewellery, embroidered fabrics, decorative pieces and groovy accessories.

  • Handicraft Stores

    Since Pushkar is famous for its handicraft items, it has equally good stores to buy them from. One on the most famous is called Vikas Handicraft on main street opposite rainbow rooftop restaurant which has a good collection of handmade paper notebook,incense sticks and fragrance oils. The store owner is very helpful and he will get you the lowest possible price in town and best quality. Another place called Rajasthan Handicrafts Corporation Pushkar, situated near Brahma Temple, offers varieties of handicraft articles, specially, scripture and metal statues, while Radhika Handicrafts Pushkar, located in the main bazar, is one the oldest handicrafts exporter and retailer of handicrafts textiles.
