Pushkar is known majorly as a religious spot, considered one of the five ‘Dhams' in Hinduism. Therefore, it comes as no surprise that most of the sites of tourist interest are religious in flavour. Here is a small list.

  • Pushkar Lake

This is the major spot of pilgrimage for Hindus, which is believed to have been consecrated by Lord Brahma. The lake is surrounded by 52 ghats, where Hindus take a dip in the sacred waters of Pushkar Lake and go a step closer to salvation. The soothing and pious atmosphere serves to allure more and more number of tourists to this place every year.
    Beware of the
Pandas at the Ghats who are experts in duping innocent devotees and extract money from them.

  • Sri Brahmaji Temple

Being the only temple in the world where Lord Brahma is worshipped, this temple is one of the main attractions in Pushkar. Inside the temple is enshrined an awe-inspiring, life-size four-faced idol of Lord Brahma.
Also do not miss the exquisitely carved turtle at the entrance of the temple, all made of silver.

  • Rangji Temple

The temple is dedicated to an incarnation of Vishnu, Lord Rangji. The temple was built by Seth Puran Mal Ganeriwal in 1823. It is built on the lines of South Indian architecture, though there are also glimpses of Mughal architecture in the structure.
    Two massive structures of
dwarapalas (gatekeepers) are built at the entrance. The high-rising Gopuram (monumental tower) is particularly captivating. Interestingly, the place is bestowed with 360 carved images.

Immerse yourself into the spirituality that Pushkar symbolises and feel at peace with your soul.
