  • Patiala

    Popular for its Patiala Salwars, Phulkari stitch and Parandis, Patiala is a city packed with culture and history. Having been ruled by the Mughals, the Afghans and the Marathas, Patiala flourished in the hands of Maharaja Bhupinder Singh who gave it its place on the political map of India. The Moti Bagh Palace here is an important architectural landmark as it has a large number of frescos and its own museum has a large collection of International medals.
