    As Mahabaleshwar dosen’t have any railway station, you need to get down at Wathar, which is the nearest railway station. Once you get down at Wathar, you can hire a cab or taxi to reach Mahabaleshwar.   • Neelkantheshwar
    The beautiful hillock Shiva temple calls for a wonderful weekend getaway. You will be spellbound by the sweeping views as soon as you reach the hilltop. Get ready for a 45 minutes steep climb for reaching the famous Shiva Temple. No vehicles are allowed and the only way is walking. You need to keep some important tips-don’t start your journey between 11 am to 4 pm unless the weather is pleasant as you will be exhausted due to excessive heat. However, you can have some Nimbu Pani and Buttermilk on your way that are sold by the local vendors. The best time to start is either before 11 am or post 4 pm as evenings are quite pleasant. If you start at 4 pm, you will be able to reach there within 1 hour and 30 minutes. Spend some time there and enjoy the mesmerizing views as the sun settles down for the day.
