Ranthambore itself would keep you busy as it has loads of options which you would love exploring on your trip. But still if you have some time in your hands and you wish to make the trip more exciting and cherishable, then there are some names which are worth exploring:

  • Jaipur

    Hailed as the Pink City and richly steeped in years of colorful Rajput history, Jaipur enthralls one and all with its plethora of forts, temples and a host of other majestic monuments. Endless historic sightseeing, buying traditional handicrafts and Elephant Safaris, all combine to make Jaipur an unforgettable part of one's holiday memories. Just a couple of interesting tourist highlights of this wonder packed city are Amber Fort and Galtaji. The Amber Fort is a massive Fort-Palace complex located atop a hill. A popular tourist activity is to take an elephant ride to the fort. Those with a more pious inclination would do well to check out the revered Hindu religious site of Galtaji. Scores of visitors flock to Bharatpur from October to February to feast their eyes upon the amazing spectacle presented by Siberian Cranes and other exotic winged guests flying in to the Keoladeo BirdSanctuary for spending the winters. Besides the rare treat of watching these graceful creatures, visitors can also indulge in some satiating sightseeing by visiting the highly revered spot of Devghat and the Ganeshthan Temple. Amongst a multitude of historic structures dotting Bharatpur, a not to be missed place is the awe inspiring Lohagarh Fort.

    Distance from Ranthambore: The distance of Bharatpur from Ranthambore is 167 km and it takes around 3 hours and 30 minutes to reach there. You can hire private cabs/taxis or catch a train from
    Sawai Madhopur for reaching Bharatpur. Driving through the road is a delight given their good condition. Soak in all the natural beauty that accompanies you in this journey.
