Whether it’s a short holiday or your boss sanctioned a long leave for you by mistake, a small destination or big holiday plans, you need to have a plan of action chalked out before you leave home. Here’s some help to organise your Ramnagar trip, so you don’t miss out on any fun:

Day 1

  • If you plan on taking a bus or driving down to Ramnagar (and beyond of course), travel during early hours to avoid traffic. You’ll reach Ramnagar in about 4 to 5 hours, just in time for a brunch/lunch at the hotel.

  • Take a quick nap before you set out for an evening safari in Ramnagar itself around 4 pm to 7 pm. Take a hot water shower to get off the dust and spend some lazy time around the bonfire. You can also stroll through the souvenir shop on the hotel premises too. Grab a drink, indulge in a lavish dinner and head straight to bed. You have to get up early for the morning safari.

Day 2

  • Set out for the morning safari at about 5 am at the Corbett National Park. You’ll be back around 8 am to 9 am. Either opt for packed lunch or lunch at a Resort restaurant also won’t be a bad idea. Explore the temples and surrounding jungles. This isn’t a forest meant for spotting wildlife, you’ll be able to see a deer, monkeys or wild horse at the most. After praying at the Garjia Temple, order maggie and chai at the shack below. Maggie and chai along the banks of Kosi are a perfect combo!

  • After an evening walk head back to the hotel and head back home with loads of memories and truck loads of pictures.

Of course you can add and subtract from this list. You don’t need to spend more than two or utmost three days in Ramnagar. This is the idea for a perfect weekend get away, so you can plan a trip over the weekend and reach office right on time for the Monday morning meeting without the blues!
