What is the best climate and time to visit Ahmedabad?

0 people found this answer useful Useful ?Yes

As a city that’s rich in cultural and historical aspects, Ahmedabad calls for plenty of outdoor activities. Make sure that your trip is carefully planned, for this city sees summers that are nothing less than troublesome for tourists and residents alike. Take your pick from anytime between October to March, as a pleasant weather sweeps over the entire city during these months.

  • Summers

Avoid going to Ahmedabad during summers for it’s scorchingly hot at the time. Mercury usually hovers between a maximum of 41 degree celsius and a minimum of 21 degree celsius between March and June. The intense heat waves are unnerving and can leave you sans any sightseeing chances.

  • Monsoon

Except for torrential rains, Ahmedabad hardly sees heavy downpours. The weather is pleasant during monsoon (July to September) and with many major Hindu festivals like Raksha Bandhan falling in the period, rains are one of the preferred options to visit the city. Though rains are scanty, streets adorn a festive look when it does so, with a number of eateries mushrooming around the city. The aroma of roasted corn rides the air at Ahmedabad during monsoons.

  • Winters

Winters (November to February) in Ahmedabad are dry and arid and the temperature shuffles between a maximum of 30 degree celsius and a minimum of 15 degree celsius. If sightseeing and a lot of outdoor activities are on your mind, winters are a good time for your trip to Ahmedabad.

Pack up your bags for Ahmedabad at anytime between October and March. With weather on your side, the vibrant city is at best during this time. While winters see some open air restaurants mushrooming all around, rains wash the city clean of summer droughts.
