When it comes to weather, Dalhousie seldom disappoints you. The pleasant weather in Dalhousie promises to greet you with open arms in almost all seasons of the year. Let us have a look at what the various seasons have on offer for you-

  • Summer

The time between the months of March and June comes under the season of summer. The maximum average temperature does not exceed 35 degrees celsius.
Mornings and afternoons are quite warm and sunny, though evenings and nights may get cold. High altitudes may also be snow-capped, for tourists to behold.

  • Monsoons

Monsoons last between the months of July to September. Nature blooms in all its glory as the rain-gods shower their blessings on this wonderful place.
The mild showers every now and then in these months serve to bring the summer temperatures down, and sometimes it may get quite cold even during the day.

  • Winter

From December to February, Dalhousie experiences extreme winters, and the temperature ranges from 10 degrees to 1 degrees. In fact, it may even drop to below freezing point sometimes, such that one cannot do without heavy woolens here at this time.
Snowfall is most prevalent during winters, making this time a favourite with honeymooners.

An overall analysis clearly indicates that the summer season is clearly a favourite amongst tourists, owing to its favourable weather conditions. Since it is mostly pleasant throughout the day, ordinary T-shirts will normally do, while you can easily handle the mildly cold nights in light woolens and cottons.
This season is most suitable for sightseeing and leisure walks.
