The yellow desert town of India is nestled in the warm embrace of glittering sands of the Thar Deserts. Needless to say, it has all the characteristics of a typical desert climate. The days tend to be pretty hot and the nights quite cold and breezy. For a detailed know how of how the mercury fluctuates in this city, read on:

  • Summers

It is not wrong to say that the Golden City Jaisalmer experiences the wrath of the sun in the hot months between April and September. There is hardly any rain (its a desert, remember?) and the blazing sun makes travelling in this city a pain. Mercury rises up to 48°C in the days and falls to 30°C in the evenings. Most hotels shut shop during these times, so make it a point to confirm your bookings and don't forget your sunscreen and umbrella at home.
  • Winters

Winters in the Thar make for a lovely time for basking in the mellow sun and getting an adorable tan. Enjoying mild temperatures ranging between 18°C to 25°C in the winters along with a golden sunlight, Jaisalmer beckons travellers during the months between November and March. Pull out those shorts and half sleeved shirts and make your way around Jaisalmer with a tingling sun and cool breeze!

The  best time to visit Jaisalmer is between November and March, without a doubt. Incase your travel itinerary doesn’t allow a visit during these months, be ready to sweat it out my friend!
