Like most of the hill stations in the north of India, pre winters and early summers are the best time to visit Ramnagar. And with a tour of Corbett National Park being almost an essential add on to the trip, you need to pick a time that lets you feast your eyes on the most exotic of fauna and flora. Check out what’s in store for you at this town during:

  • Monsoon
July and August bring heavy rains and a trip to Ramnagar is of course not advisable. If you are a bit on the adventurous side and ready to take some risk, pack some books, for the probability is that you’ll be holed up in the hotel room. To add on to the woes, roads gets too slippery in rains to accommodate any sightseeing and landslides are a possible occurrence too.
  • Autumn
Autumn brings substantial downfall in the mercury level in September and October. The weather is pleasant and perfect for roaming around, sightseeing in the day and gazing stars at the night.
  • Winter
Come November and winter descends on Ramnagar in its full glory. December and January brings bouts of snow at times and the ambience is perfect for a cosy getaway. If you can handle the winter chills, it’s an amazing time to visit the town. But then, you wouldn’t possibly have much to look forward to at Corbett.

It’s advisable that you plan your trip in between March and June. Moving to the other half of the year, September and October also offers much to the tourists. The experience of watching the sun rise from far over the horizon, across the hills, on a misty, winter morning can’t be put into words. Experience bliss with the best places to visit in Ramnagar.
