If the weather gods remain happy, they certainly will ensure that your holiday becomes a memorable one. Sariska is no exception to this rule and it’s almost imperative to understand that climate here so that you can plan your trip accordingly. Experiencing a climate that swings between extremes, at Sariska, you’ll have the option of choosing and planning your travel according to the kind of holiday you’re looking for:

  • Summer

Scorching sunlight will weave its way through tall trees and make you shed all those heavy clothes. Summer in Sariska last between the months of March and May and the mercury rises to around 45 degrees celsius. Light cotton clothes, a summer hat and sunglasses would be your best companions on your day trip and jungle safaris. Don’t let the heat intimidate you, since this is usually considered the best time to spot jungle creatures out of their hibernation.
  • Monsoon

Let the green trees look greener with sprinkling rain, bringing the scorching mercury down with it. The monsoon season in Sariska lasts between June and September and experiences a medium amount of rainfall. The air becomes quite humid though, making it a little less feasible to be outdoors. Also remember, that the tiger reserve and national park remain shut between July and September.
  • Winter

Hazy, lazy winter afternoons are perhaps the best time to be outdoors and what better place than Sariska to feel the magic of the wild, wild outdoors. The winter season in Sariska lasts between October and February and mercury goes as low as 4 degrees celsius during the peak winter months of December and January. Make sure you carry sufficient warm clothes as both days and nights tend to be quite chilly.

Sariska is often believed to be an all-year-round destination, especially among wildlife enthusiasts who don’t let things like weather come in the way of their adventure. Ideally, the best time to visit Sariska is between the months of October and March (weather-wise) and during the months of April and May (for wildlife-spotting). You must also keep in mind that the tiger reserve and national park is closed between 1st July and 30th September, though the Pandupol Temple is open for you to offer prayers.

March ahead right into the wild and make the most of your trip with the right weather to keep you company. An unforgettable holiday awaits!
