The distance between Jhabua and Indore is approximately 125 km and the conditions of roads is unfortunately not very promising.  To travel from Jhabua to Indore you would have to take the NH 59 which is generally a well maintained highway but in this particular stretch there is a two lane road all the way and has many potholes.

Here is a shot of the beautiful city of Indore:

The roads are apparently not in a very good condition in the Dahod- Jhabua region of Madhya Pradesh and almost everyone advises travelers to cover the Dahod- Dhar route during the day and avoid the infamous Jhabua Ghat which is reputed to be highly unsafe during the night time as there is very little vehicular traffic.

You could also take the alternate route in the form of SH 18 and SH 31/ NH 79 but the roads are only slightly better and it is much safer to stick to the National Highway as much as possible.  Once in Indore check out the things to do on our travel guide page for Indore.
