The World Book Fair hosted every year in Delhi's Pragati Maidan has become a major event in the world of books and publishing. It is hosted by the National Book Trust (NBT), India under the ministry of Human Resource Development. Being held for the 41 years now, this book fair is India's oldest book fair where countless book lovers flood in to experience this event.

Often addressed as the ‘Book Capital of India’, Delhi organises the World Book Fair with great gusto at Pragati Maidan. This annual festival is the world’s second largest book exhibition event and has registered the participation of more than 23 countries together!

Apart from publication, NBT also promotes the growing markets of our neighboring countries. The National Centre for Children Literature (NCCL) promotes children literature and the national 'Readers Club' movement by organizing various children events and workshops.

With Poland being the Guest of Honor country, visitors will get to see new books from Poland and English translations of many well known Polish books including children literature. Hall Nos 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 12A, 14 and 18, will be hosting the event.

Also like last year, the New Delhi World Book Fair (NDWBF) will be hosting the Rights Table, on the 17th and 18th February, which will offer a B2B match-making sessions between different publishers in a fresh and new business environment. Participants can book their own Rights Table, interact with each other, present their ideas and products, and also to take steps to finalize their agreements for transfer of translation and other book rights available in English, Hindi or any other Indian languages.
