Holi is the festival of colours that is celebrated in India with great zeal and enthusiasm. The religious festival is celebrated in spring season on the very next day of full moon in March. The festival of Holi is a two day event. On first day, a bonfire is made in the evening which is known as Holika Dahan where people gather and sing folk songs. The Holi bonfire has a mythological story of Prahlad associated with it that signifies the victory of good over evil. Next day in the morning, Holi is celebrated by applying herbal colours and coloured water. This day is called Dhulendi.
