Travelling is always easy and fun when the only thing that is on your mind is the destination. The call of the place makes everything, from bookings to plans for sightseeing a child’s play. In the excitement for the destination, these tips will help you out to make it more easier.

  • Flight, train, bus, taxi, hotels- whatever bookings you have made, confirm it at least two days before you start on your trip. Take out all the print confirmation and put it inside your hand baggage properly.

  • Every town has a sufficient number of ATM these days. So, carrying a lot of cash in hand will be unnecessary trouble. But do exchange your money for the Indonesian currency at a place where you get the best exchange rate and carry some cash with you all the time. With shops and stalls around every corner, you will be in need for rupiah.

  • The day of silence, Bali during the Hindu new year Nyepi, in March or April, is a day when the town is completely shut down to observe complete silence. With the Balinese government deploying securities to maintain this rule, it is quite a strict norm. Remain in your hotel room on this day and cancel all outdoor plans if you are already in Bali. If your vacation is somewhere in between these months, try to find out the exact date on which Nyepi falls and avoid booking your travel ticket as even flights are cancelled on this day.

  • For foreign nationals, Visa should be carried all the time. And for all tourists, every place has its own rules and regulations and it is advisable to follow it when you are there.

  • Sarongs and sash are a must when visiting temples and shrines. Although almost all temples will have a place outside renting out sarongs and sash, it might just be better to buy your own set, given the number of temples you are likely to visit and the number of people who visit Bali.

These simple but important tips will save you time, unwanted and unplanned chaos and will make your travel plans work out just as you had imagined.
