  • Even though Jaipur is a thriving metropolitan city, it is still hangs on to its traditional roots. With Hind population in majority in the city and historic monuments spread over all over city, some parts follow strict customs and etiquette. It is therefore expected from the tourist to avoid showing too much skin. Moreover to abstain sunburns it is preferable to cover yourself with light cotton clothes.

However, the may suggest to you souvenir shops from where he gets his commison. So, it may make sense to do a bit more research on your own and ask him for specific places. So that you wider coverage and better deals.

  • The best time to visit Jaipur is from November to February, when the climate is moderate. But during summers it is very hot and the temperature regularly shoots up above 45 degree C.

  • Taxi meters should ideally be turned on before you hop in for a ride. Some of the drivers may not do that may bargain with you. So, its advisable to check with locals as to how much will be the typical charges for reaching your destination.
