Indians visiting Thailand for less than 15 days can easily get a visa on arrival for approx INR 2000. Just get your tickets and you're ready for the conference!

I don't think so Vaishai..As for as I know, Visa on Arrival is issued for the purpose of tourism only. While workshops/conferences should fall under the category of work/business. I am not sure, but I have doubt if visa on arrival can work here. Please clarify.
Hi Ashish! I double checked, and found that you only need a Business Visa in Thailand only if you intend to open a bank account there and get a work permit. As long as your Conference or Workshop doesn't involve a monetary transaction, you're good to go with a Visa on arrival. Here's two links that should sort out the confusion for you. http://www.vfs-thailand.co.in/north/tourist.html http://www.thaiembassy.com/thailand/thailand-visa-types.php . I hope this helps!
Thanks Vaishali.. :-)
