Hunting around for the best beaches in North Goa? Well, look forward to the problem of plenty as you will simply feel like visiting all of these beauties. North Goa beaches are especially a hot draw for party animals visiting Goa to let their hair down. Now, here’s a quick look at some of the most popular ones.

Anjuna Beach

This erstwhile Hippie hangout of the 1970s finds mention in almost every North Goa beaches list. Even today, the southern part of the beach is often said to be the hottest venue for Trance music. Anjuna Beach is also very popular for the Wednesday Flea Market. The beach is rocky and entering the waters is not advisable. By way of food and booze, there are quite a few well-known shacks here. You can take a Dabolim to Anjuna taxi to reach this pretty beach straight from the airport.

Baga-Calangute Beach

Baga-Calangute easily remain two of the best beaches in North Goa. Both these beaches are naturally joined together, with Calangute being Goa’s busiest and most commercial beach. Baga Beach is slightly less crowded than Calangute. There are ample facilities for water sports and the colourful shacks make the perfect setting for wining and dining. In fact, the legendary Club Tito and Cafe Mogambo are just a short walk away from Calangute Beach.

Candolim Beach

This is yet another very famous beach of North Goa. While high-voltage revelry is a defining characteristic of Candolim Beach, the place is not as crowded as Baga and Calangute. Dotted with numerous shacks, bars, and restaurants, Candolim Beach also proves to be a foodie’s haven. With Fort Aguada nearby, the beach makes for an excellent sightseeing attraction as well.
