This valley is basically filled with mountains like Galikonda, Raktakonda, Sunkarimetta and Chitamogondi. This is ideal to visit in monsoon season. There are also other places like Katiki water falls and bhoora caves in this region. The valley is connected through both rail and road to the city of Vishakapatnam.Araku is popular for its famous coffee plantations. The scene is from my fav movie Jab we met and song is 'tum se hi'.. Rain is always instrumental. During rain one should plan for khandala, lonawala, Malshez ghat, mahabaleshwar, panchgani or go down to ooty, munnar, kodaikanal, allepey etc. One should not plan for beaches and trekking.. During rains drink loads of water and avoid day sleep, Always keep a nice grip footwear in any of trips along with a bunch of quick dry clothes. Stick to bottled water and avoid denims and cotton. Must keep some rain wears. Enjoy Rains!!!

Valley of Flowers, Uttrakhand

The name says it all. It's on this list because the flowers attain full bloom in the months of July and August. Housing the rarest kind of flora, it is also a great choice for someone looking for a healthy holiday, as the 17km trek required to reach the valley is sure to get anyone in shape.

The best time to visit Valley Of Flowers is between mid-July August. to Its advisable to carry good pair of trekking shoes, raincoat, muscle relaxant, pain relief spray etc. A good camera is a must to capture the beauty. Start early so that you come back in time, the trek is almost 3 km from the entry gate. You are likely to lose track of time and distance as soon as you set your foot though. Carry water and light snack in case you may feel hungry but please DO NOT LITTER.

But with the Uttarakhand tragedy thhis seems to be washed away. Was a beautiful tourist spot.

Travel to Augambee in Karnataka. It is perfect for a trek during monsoons. Western Ghats make it look beautiful.

Gokarna and Coorg are also nice places.

The Valley of Flowers requires a strenuous hike but you'll feel on top of the world in this magical and enchanting place. Exotic flowers and foliage can be found all along the route from Ghangria to the main valley. Make sure you pack plenty of clothes in case you get rained on (which is likely), and carry some food with you for the hike. Govind Ghat and Ghangaria get quite crowded from July to September with Sikh pilgrims on their way to Hem Kund, so it’s a good idea to book accommodations in advance. Hiring a porter at Govind Ghat to carry you luggage to Ghangaria is also recommended to make the trek easier.
