“Bura na maano, Holi hai!!!” As far as Goa is concerned, Holi is not such a major event here, but if you are looking out for a Holi party in Goa, you wouldn't be completely out of luck. After all, this party capital of India hardly misses out on any excuse for a party. Apart from New Year time, Holi is also a great time to visit Goa city. So, if you are in town during Holi celebrations, look for the hotels in Goa which are located near to party celebrations venue.

Holi One Color Festival

In this year's Holi celebrations in Goa, hundreds of people will come together dressed in white to celebrate the festival of colours with lots of music, dance and live performances. Food and drinks will be available on site. Entry is only for 18 and above. You are not allowed to bring your own colours or food and drinks. Holi One color powders are sold at the event, and all of them are natural and 100% non-toxic and environment friendly.

Holi celebrations in Goa also known as Shigmo (Shishirotsava) is a carnival of colours where vibrant costumed float parades and traditional folk dances depict scenes from the local regional mythology. And of course, you get to hear the Goan drumming at its best! Shigmo is the state’s biggest spring festival. It is celebrated in various rural parts of Goa, with different days marked for celebrations in different areas. This year it’ll take place from 16th to 30th March. Various temples also have special arrangements for this festival. The major hotspots will be Panaji, Mapusa, Vasco Da Gama and Margao. So, in a way the whole of Goa can be a party spot for you this Holi!
