Jamnagar, as one of the major ports of Gujarat, is well connected to the rest of India and world. Whatever mode you may choose to travel, a comfortable, easy journey to Jamnagar comes assured. You can choose any of the following to reach this place of vibrant colours:

  • Air

Govardhapur Airport Jamnagar is where you’ll land up at Jamnagar if you are hopping aboard a flight. Coming under the supervision of Indian Armed Forces, it sees both private as well as commercial vehicles. IndiGo, Jet Airways and Air India are the major airlines with flights to Jamnagar. There are direct flights to Mumbai and other major cities across India. It is aptly located at some 10 kms from the main city.

  • Rail

Jamnagar has trains from all the major Indian cities, including Delhi, Mumbai, Ahmedabad, Kolkata, Gorakhpur, Varanasi and more. It also facilitates early morning intercity trains to and from Surat. Saurashtra Mail and the Saurashtra Express are two major trains that link Jamnagar and Mumbai. A train to the city makes for a comfortable as well as cost efficient service.

  • Road

If you like to enjoy your journey mile by mile, zooming across the seemingly endless acres that lie between, roads to Jamnagar are certainly calling you. Rajkot, Porbandar, Ahmedabad, Surat, Baroda and all other major cities across Gujarat offer buses to Jamnagar. You can get aboard state run buses or the ones by private operators, namely Eagle Travels, Patel Travels and Shrinath Travels.

Gujarat takes pride in its superb infrastructure and the same is quite evident in the excellent transport facilities across the state, including Jamnagar. The roads are in superb condition, minus the glitches and potholes that you may have grown accustomed to. Happy travelling!
