Planning a trip to Pune and still clueless about how you want to reach the place? Well, trust us, when we say that we have a solution. All you need to do is to have a quick glance at the following list:

  • Air

This cultural hub doesn't have a civil airport, instead all the flights operate from the military airbase which is located at Lohegaon. You can easily find a flight to Pune from cities like Bangalore, Delhi, Hyderabad, Shirdi, Chennai, Goa, Kolkata, Jaipur and Ahmedabad to name a few. Once you get down at the Lohegaon airport, you can hire a private taxi or cab to reach Pune and it takes around 30 minutes to 1 hour (depends on the traffic conditions). If you are unable to book any direct flight to Pune, you can hop off at Mumbai airport and book a taxi to reach Pune. It would cost you around INR 1600.

  • Rail

You will be pleasantly surprised to how well-managed Pune railway station is with an internet cafe, computerised ticket booking office and an information booth. Pune is well connected to other Indian cities through railways. Some of the popular trains are Jodhpur Express, Garib Nawaz Express, Ahimsa Express and Veraval Express to name a few.

  • Road

Pune is well connected to other cities in India via road. It is flanked by 3 National Highways along with an expressway. Travelling to this beautiful city through roads is always pleasant as you will be accompanied by stunning scenic beauty all across your journey. You will find a number of luxury and regular buses operated by MSRTC and the tariff depends on the type of the bus (INR 185 for Non- AC and INR 320 for AC buses). The AC buses are operational between 5.30 am to 12.00 am. You can also find several cabs from Mumbai to Pune. There are a number of shared or private taxis available with tariff ranging between INR 300 to INR 800. Pune has three bus stations, namely Swargate, Shivaji Nagar and Pune Station.

Irrespective of the means you choose to reach Pune, this cultural hub of Maharashtra will always welcome you with open arms.
