Love taking a boat ride in the endlessly rolling waters of a lake? Well, Jaipur promises that to you! Located in the desert state of Rajasthan, lakes like Maan Sarovar Lake, Chhaparwara Lake and Kukas Lake are seasonal in nature, so make sure you visit these only in the months between October and March.
The only lake that is full all year round is the Galtaji Lake, located near the religious site of Galtaji. It location in the low hills with vegetation in the backdrop makes the place even more worth visiting. When here, do take a dip in the holy waters here, as according to legend you can find salvation and the eternal purity of the soul by doing so.
Located at a distance of 25 kms from Jaipur, the Ramgarh Lake is a huge man made lake, best seen in the months from October- March. Having the ruins of an old fort and the Jamwa Mata temple for a backdrop, this lake is a famous tourist spot, ideal for picnics and lake side lunches.
