Usually associated with an exquisite flora and fauna, Ranthambore also makes for a nice religious getaway. The scenic landscape is adorned with quite a few temples steeped in interesting mythological tales.

  • Karauli Temples

    Situated inside the Ranthambore Fort, the beautiful, red stoned Karauli Temples calls for you if you want to seek some divine intervention. Constructed way back during the 12th and 13th centuries, the three temples are dedicated to Lord Ganesh, Lord Shiva and Lord Ram. You can enjoy splendid views of the surrounding from the fort as it situated at a height of 700 feet above the adjoining area.

  • Trinetra Ganesh Temple

    A popular religious site in Ranthambore, the temple has an interesting story attributed to it. As the legend goes, a battle took place between
    Alauddin Khilji and King Hammeer during the 13th AD. It is said that one night King Hammeer dreamt about Lord Ganesha reassuring him that his problems would be over very soon. The next morning, an idol of Lord Ganesha with Trinetra (three eyes) embossed from the walls of the fort. The king then constructed a temple of Lord Ganesha and established the statue there. People flock here to pay their respects to the Lord Ganesha.
