Unlike many other tourist destinations, Jamnagar has entire lanes of shopping hubs rather than just an outlet or two. If the shopaholic in you has been wondering about best places to hit if off, here’s the quick list:

  • Willingdon Crescent

True to its name, it does look like a crescent, built in such a shape by Jam Ranjit Singh. It’s nothing less than a shopper’s delight for you get the fabulous bandhani works,  handicrafts, art pieces and more. And the most amazing part about this place is that you get the stuff right from the artisans. It can’t be more authentic than that, right?

  • Chandi Bazaar

Lend a glint to your holidays in Jamnagar by setting on jewelery hunt at Chandi Bazaar. Grab some of the most exquisite silver (chandi) and gold jewellery here, which is usually the handiwork of the skilled craftsmen. Chandi Bazaar has some shops that sell antique jewel pieces as well.

  • Mahavir Bandhani

If you wish to avoid the hassle of walking across the lanes and haggling with the dealers for that bandhani saree, walk in to Mahavir Bandhani. With an experience of 106 years, it’s a pioneer in the field. Other than sarees, check out the chaniya, cholis, dress material, kumkum (vermilion) and more. Don’t forget to check out the satin sarees here that come with the famous Gath and Kutchi work.

Bandhani Fashions at Bedi Road is another place that you can check out for the best of stuff in the city. Moreover, most of the lanes at Jamnagar are dotted with shops that have some real good steals tucked in. Sharpen your bargaining skills before you settle for any purchases from these shops.
