A stunning fall located near Madikari, Abbey Falls provide perfect spot for picnics and nature walks. The river Kaveri makes a descent here from a height of about 70 feet, providing spellbinding sight. Recently, a hanging bridge has been laid across the gorge adding to the beauty of the place. It is only obvious that the waterfall is one of the most popular places to visit in Coorg. To reach the falls, one has to take a 500 m downhill walk from the end of the road. The area around this fall is rich with coffee bushes and wild vines and creepers. The best time to visit Abbey Falls is during the monsoons.

  • Mallalli Falls

During the rains, the aura of this place becomes more mesmerising as the gush of the falls is increased and the greenery becomes more pristine.

  • Burude Falls

Another charming waterfall in Coorg, the Burude Falls offers a breathtaking view of the milieu. The approach of this falls is through a small creek, and you have to make a short trek. Needless to say the trek is one of the most sought-after things to do in Coorg. The fall is at its best during the summers. Burude Falls become quite inaccessible during winters and monsoons, so it is advisable to avoid this place during those seasons.

  • Iruppu Falls
A sacred spot and a picturesque waterfall, Iruppu Falls is thronged by devotees throughout the year. Laxman Tirtha river flows nearby and its descent creates this beautiful fall. According to a legend, the river was formed when Laxman, younger brother of Ram, shot an arrow into the nearby hills and formed this river.
