If you like to slurp food but the non-cannibal way then Kodaikanal has a lot of options in store just for you. There are different cuisines that are available at various restaurants in the town but what will really amaze you is the availability of the most lip smacking ones like Sindhi and Gujarati food.

Some of the best vegetarian eating joints are:

  • Tava: An affordable option for food lovers, this restaurant does not boast a very grand ambiance or any other specialty but still is one of the most loved restaurants in the town. You might ask why. It is because of the delicious food that it serves its guests with. Come here to enjoy Sindhi food at its best along with Sev Puri and Gobhi ka paranthas. Not only that, but a varied range of other North Indian dishes is what makes this place a hit.
A meal for two would cost you around INR 200, now isn’t that cheap?

    Address: PT Road
    7 Roads Junction
    Opposite New Hotel Punjab
    Kodaikanal 624101

  • Patel’s: If you think vegetarian food is limited in its spread, think again. Explore this restaurant and see your fingers getting chopped by your own teeth. The ones who love the sweet and sour Gujarati food, the place is Patel’s for them. Not that they will only be served with excellent food but there will also be so much of warmth straight from Gujarat on your plate.
Shed some INR 250 to have a nice, decent meal for two here.

  • Rasoi: Punjabi food is loved with equal warmth, be it anywhere in the country. Want to have the famous Chole Bhature right in the middle of a southern state, then come to Rasoi. Rasoi, a hub for vegetarian punjabi, Gujarati and North Indian food. You cannot afford to miss onto the hot and greased with love aloo ke paranthas.
Tinkle out a couple of hundreds to enjoy a lavish treat for two.
