Nestled in the valley of the towering Himalayas, Kathmanduis a city full of limitless possibilities of exploration. However, if you think you have had your fair share of this place, let me tell you where to go and what to do.

  • Pokhara

Considered one of the most beautiful places world, you sure are in for a rare visual and aural treat when here. Also providing ample opportunity to tickle the adventurer in you, the Pokhara Package seems to be unending. Lace up and head on to the surrounding mountains for trekking, or wander on the snake like trails and get a hands on feel of the purity and abundance of nature. Soar in the mountain airs while you paraglide here, do white water rafting in the gushing rivers of Nepal or just chill on the boat in the dancing waters of
Phewa Tal. The music scene here in Pokhara is super happening so it might probably be the best place in Nepal to get out your guitar, clear your throat and give it a try on stage with the locals in the numerous cafés. Want more? Hire a bike and ride through the rugged mountains heading to the Dobindy Pass, or make the Sarankot/Naudada/Hemja loop, but be sure you are no amateur biker because riding in
the mounts can be tricky in many places.

Getting there? Hop on to one of the regular buses plying from Kathmandu to Pokhara for a six hour ride on the roads winding through forests and valleys, or take a 30 minute flight from Kathmandu to here enjoying aerial views if you are strapped for time.

  • Royal Chitwan National Park

Go back to the days of pony carts and elephant taxis, when you reach this pure little place in the heart of Nepal. Not only do you enjoy the thrills of
Jungle Safari and sighting the untamed in the wild here, but this is also a good place to get your hiking boots out. Populated with lakes and villages, this area gives you a true feel of the rustic life in Nepal. Motorcycle Safari is a hit here, and let me tell you, the thrill of riding here is something unseen and unheard of. Roar on and feel the mountain wind in your hair, as you zip past the tiny hamlets in the backcountry. The World Elephant Polo Competition is held here annually and if you are here in time, this is one sight you sure don't want to miss.

You probably want to pack your bags and head here now, let me tell you how. Take a bus from Kathmandu or Pokhara and enjoy a 4-6 hour ride, or simply fly from Kathmandu to Bharatpur and take a 10 km elephant or pony taxi from here to Royal Chitwan National Park.

  • Nagarkot

Your vacation in Nepal is incomplete without visiting this little delight locked away in the mighty Himalayas. Located about 30 kms from Kathmandu, this place is worth visiting just to enjoy the sheer pleasure of watching the sun rise, or sink into the mountains again at the end of the day. If you don't belong to the group of the faint hearted, lace up and trek to Nagarkot from Kathmandu or do the dirty biking bit if that gives you the rush.

It is best to hire a taxi for your escapade to Nagarkot but budget travellers don't need to worry as there are regular buses from Kathmandu to this place.

Sounds good? Such are the limitless delights of Nepal!
