  • Madra
    Mitha Madra, one of the various kinds of Madra relished by the people of Jammu, can be mentioned as it the best loved Madra. A recipe of the Dogra community, this vegetarian delicacy is cooked using milk, dry fruits and semolina and is best serve as a dessert. The aroma of the cardamom blends with that of fennel seeds as you dig a spoon in the madra and put a mouthful of creamy paneer with cashew and raisins on top of it.

  • Khatta meat
    Non-vegetarians, be ready! Don't forget to try Khatta Meat, which is mutton cooked with pomegranate or lime juice, giving the meat a sour, tangy taste. The most interesting part of the recipe is the flavour of burning charcoal, soaked in mustard oil, that combines with the meat to give it an exotic taste.
