History, culture, a packed itinerary, food - wait, do you think you're missing out on something? Of course, shopping! Any trip is incomplete if you don't loosen those purse strings and shop your way through a bagful of happy memories. Khajuraho is famous for the replicas of heritage statues, jewellery, bamboo products - all of which you can find at great prices if you use your bargaining skills.

Entrances to the main groups of temples have their own markets, selling souvenirs and other things that are popular with tourists. These little shops are particularly famous for their brass statues and silver jewellery, in authentic and ornate designs. The weekly market (on Tuesdays) at Rajinagar is a great place for visitors to find some good silver and brass wares. This place, just 5 km from Khajuraho, is also a great place to experience some traditional flavour of the local lifestyle.

Shopping is second nature to some of us, and if you're one of those people, then you can be sure to attain nirvana while shopping in Khajuraho. Make sure to carry an extra bag to pack all these goodies!
