Missing your regular workouts on this holiday? Don’t worry, just head to one of the beautiful parks in Kolkata to enjoy a swift walk in the mornings or a lazy stroll in the evenings! If there is one city that loves to walk, it has to be the Intellectual Capital of India, Kolkata. A few parks which bring a  burst of green to the city of trams are:

  • Eden Gardens

Mecca to Cricket lovers, Eden Gardens is the biggest cricket stadium in all of India. Thank your  lucky stars if you happen to be holidaying in this place when the IPL or T 20 tournaments are going on, as watching the game at this place is a different experience in itself! The place holds the seating capacity of almost a hundred thousand people and is a good place to chill in the evening with your family  and friends (obviously when theres not a match!).  Take a walk around and see the Burmese Pagoda set in the small lake here, and take back a bunch of beauteous pictures for your facebook wall!
